Reconciliation
Comprehensive transactional and settlement data enabling daily reconciliation.
Reconciliation reports provide comprehensive transactional and settlement data, enabling your finance and operations teams to efficiently match Acquired.com processing activity against your systems and accounts.
This service is particularly beneficial for merchants using multiple payment methods and acquirers, as we aggregate and normalise the data into unified reports.
Report Types
Acquired.com generates two primary reconciliation report types, providing complete coverage:
Card Payments Reconciliation Report
We receive settlement data from each participating card acquirers. Our system then aligns this with the corresponding original transaction data to provide a consolidated view, significantly reducing the complexity of multi-acquirer reconciliation.
Account-to-Account (A2A) Reconciliation Report
This report covers all A2A transaction types that are settled via an Acquired ledger. This includes:
- PBB (including VRPs)
- Direct Debit
- Faster Payments
Accessing Reports
Reconciliation Reports are generated daily for each active MID and can be accessed via two methods:
- Acquired.com Hub: Navigate to the Financials page in the Hub to download reports directly.
- API: Reports can be retrieved using the dedicated
/reportsAPI endpoint, allowing for automated ingestion into your financial systems.
Report Fields and Columns
While the Card and A2A reports share many common fields, some variations exist to reflect the distinct processing and settlement cycles of each payment method. See the /reports API endpoint for more details.
Report Cut-Off Timings
The data included in each report is generated based on a specific daily cut-off time. Understanding these timings is crucial for daily reconciliation planning.
Card Payments Cut-off
The reconciliation cut-off time for Card transactions is dependent on the specific settlement and reporting cycles of your underlying acquirer(s).
Account-to-Account (A2A) Cut-off
A2A reports are generated once per day at a fixed time to ensure as much settlement activity as possible is captured.
- File generation time: 06:00 UTC
- Time window covered: A fixed 24-hour window from 06:00 UTC to 05:59 UTC. All A2A transaction activity within this time period will be included.
- What will be included:
- The settlement of Direct Debit transactions, which are typically received between 02:00 and 03:00 UTC.
- All daily batch settlements which have completed transferring funds to designated external accounts, fixed at 05:00 UTC.
