Configuration

Once you have downloaded and installed the Acquired.com extension, you can start to configure your plugin.

Ensure that you have your test account set up and ready with Acquired.com, for more information please reach out to our support team via our portal.

General configuration

  1. Firstly, navigate to the Extensions menu and open the Installer tab.
  2. Upload the Acquired.com extension.
  3. Then open the Extensions tab and locate the Acquired.com extension that you have just uploaded. (To make it easier to locate, utilise the filter and select Payments.)
  4. The next stage is to enable and configure your extension, click on the edit icon to start the process.

Integration MethodThe environment that you want to configure. Select Hosted Checkout for production and Hosted Checkout (QA/Testing) for QA.
App IDYour Acquired.com app_id (ensure that you input the correct one for your desired environment). To understand how to locate your app_id, see here.
App KeyYour Acquired.com app_key (ensure that you input the correct one for your desired environment). To understand how to locate your app_key, see here.
Geo ZoneChoose the specific zone where you wish to enable Acquired.com payment offerings.
Order Status
Sort OrderIf you have more than one gateway extension, inputting 1 would ensure Acquired appears first.

Payment methods configuration

To set up the payment methods you wish to show in the checkout, navigate to the Hosted Checkout settings within the Acquired.com Hub. By default, cards and Apple Pay will be enabled, but you can customise this selection according to your preferences.

  1. Log into the Hub.
  2. Go to Settings > Hosted Checkout.
  3. Enable the required payment methods by the tickbox.
  4. Configure each payment method and define how they are displayed to users.

Customise your checkout

You have the flexibility to personalise your Hosted Checkout page design by incorporating your logo and adjusting the colour scheme to align with your brand identity.

  1. Log into the Hub.
  2. Go to Settings > Hosted Checkout.
  3. Click on + Customise.
  4. Enter a Template Name.
  5. Add custom elements, including logo, background colour and header colour.
  6. Save the template! It will then be visible in the Customisation table.

Once created, a template can be designated as the Default Template via the Actions menu in the Customisation table.

There's no limit to the number of custom templates you can create, but the Default Template will govern the Checkout page appearance unless specified otherwise.

Webhook configuration

At Acquired.com, we utilise webhooks to notify your application of payment events, such as when the final status of a payment is determined.

To configure webhooks for the Opencart plugin please following these steps:

  1. Form the Extensions tab, locate the Webhook URL.
  2. Login to the Acquired.com Hub.
  3. Go to Settings > Hosted Checkout.
  4. In the Responses section input your the webhook URL provided in the Opencart extensions section.
