Direct Debit

Overview

Direct Debit is a pull-based, Account-to-Account (A2A) payment method. Within this flow, the bank account holder authorises a Direct Debit mandate, which enables merchants to retrieve funds from the account holder’s bank account via collections and transfer them to their managed Acquired account.

When integrating our Direct Debit via API, you’ll want to manage three fundamental components:

• Setting up mandates for your customers
• Collecting payments against your mandates
• Staying up-to-date with webhooks - mandates and collections
